Limited Edition
This watch is issued as a strictly limited edition batch of only 20 watches in brushed 316 stainless steel cases, with stainless steel pushers and crown and gently domed mineral glass to retain that ‘period’ look.
Hand assembled by us, in Wiltshire, using as many components as we could source from UK, where the parts have had to come from elsewhere, we have sought to maintain the quality and feel of a much more expensive timepiece, they are already very exclusive.
Inspiration
Our inspiration for these has sought to echo the style and design of automotive and aeronautical time pieces from the 50’s and 60’s, capturing that spirit in an imposing yet remarkably comfortable watch to wear. Made to withstand daily wear, the high quality Japanese Quartz movement is effectively maintenance free and is easy in use, keeping great time reliably. We hope you will like the double ended second hand and enjoy the sense of balance it creates and the drama as both ends sweep and reset
You will have noted that the crown and clasp or buckle are all signed ‘BHP’ along with the dial print in red and the back contains an evocative copyrighted image of Stirling Moss in full flow, almost lifting a wheel mid bend in a Cooper dating from the early 60’s. This has been carefully etched by us into the polished stainless steel back. We thought this a fitting tribute to the overall inspiration of the watch design. This image will only be used by us for this watch issue.
Straps
The mesh straps are fully adjustable with a double security clasp and we think are things of real beauty, feel and presence. The blue and tan leather straps are hand made from Yeovil based Pittards leather by a Somerset craftsman to our specific design. The dial is printed by the oldest dial manufacturers in UK and seeks to be clean, simple and easy to read. The leather just gets softer and more comfortable with time. The brushed 316 stainless steel is remarkably hardwearing.
Movement
It has a Japanese steel Miyota Calibre 6S20 fully functioning Chronograph movement within, full instructions are included.
Box
We have put the watch in a proper box, one that reflects the quality and attention to detail we have sought to convey to you and to all those who we hope will admire it.
Guarantee
All of our watches are fully guaranteed for 12 months against manufacturing defects but we cannot cover fair wear and tear, the battery or any damage to the crystal, water ingress, damage to the strap or bracelet. Should you have any issues whatsoever, contact us through the website and we will endeavor to assist in any way that we can. Because this design has a push fit crown, not a screw down crown, they should be regarded as water resistant, not waterproof and should not be worn in the shower or anywhere moisture may penetrate. Whilst we cannot provide a guarantee against water or accidental damage, if you do get it wet internally or damage the crystal, strap or bracelet, please contact us immediately and we will try to help, replacing any damaged parts at very competitive rates. We have retained a small number of spare parts to do repairs.
